ABOUT

We are introducing a new monthly donation class. This class is to support palliative care in Brno. Barbora, one of our teachers, is a doctor, and one of her practicums was to be in hospic Sv. Alžběty. Her experience there was profound, she has decided to dedicate time to creating support, and awareness through these donation classes.

I first encountered yoga in 2015 when I was looking for a new form of exercise, and yoga was the only movement that I started to enjoy and that brought benefits to my body. At that time, I saw yoga simply as a regular physical workout. Gradually, however, I tried different teachers and styles of yoga and realized that it also made me feel great mentally. I began to take a deeper interest in yoga and practiced on my own at home. Later, I decided to go to Rishikesh, India, where I completed a teacher training course.

I am also studying medicine, and it’s fascinating to observe the positive effects yoga can have on the human body and mind. In my classes, I focus on connecting movement, breath, and mind. I want everyone who comes to my class to forget, even for a moment, about life off the mat and focus solely on their body and breath in the present moment. Yoga is about the unity of mind and body; it teaches us to slow down and to concentrate on ourselves without comparing to others. This is the spirit in which I strive to guide all my classes.
